1. Who we are
Tillmora is provided by Tillmora ("Tillmora", "we", "us"). These terms are between us and the business that signs up for Tillmora ("you"). By creating an account or using Tillmora you agree to them. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you may bind it.
2. The service
Tillmora is software for running a restaurant: tills and other devices, a back office in the browser, a kitchen screen, pages where your guests order, book and pay, stock, reports, an assistant (Ask Tillmora) and help. What it does is described on our features page and in the manual. Tillmora is a tool for keeping records and serving guests; it is not a certified accounting or tax system.
3. Your account
- The person who creates the account is its owner and is responsible for whom they give access to, and for what their staff do in Tillmora.
- Keep passwords, passkeys, PINs and sign-in codes private, and tell us at once through Help if you think someone else used them.
- Give us accurate details about your business, and keep them up to date.
- A business can only be handed to a new owner through the handover in the back office.
4. Free period, subscription and fees
Tillmora is free until the date shown on our website and in your back office. After that, Tillmora is a subscription per branch, monthly or yearly, at the price shown for your country when you subscribe. Subscriptions are bought only on our website and renew automatically until cancelled. The details are in Subscription and renewal and Refunds and cancellation, which form part of these terms.
If we introduce usage fees (for example on online orders), we will tell you at least 30 days before they start, and they apply only from then.
5. Your data and your guests
Your menus, orders, bills, reports and other content are yours. You give us the right to store, process and show them only to provide Tillmora to you. You can download your data at any time, and you keep it if you leave.
When your guests order, book or pay through Tillmora, you decide why their details are collected and we process them for you, as set out in our Data processing terms, which form part of these terms. You are responsible for having the right to collect and use your guests' details, and for your own privacy policy and terms for guests: Tillmora writes them for you from what you use, and you can add your own wording or use your own (Settings › Guests › Privacy and terms).
6. Payments you take
Card, UPI and online payments are taken by your own account with a payment provider (Stripe, or Razorpay in India), under that provider's terms between you and them. The money goes from the provider to you; Tillmora never holds it. Tillmora sends payment requests and records the outcome. Tillmora adds no fee per payment today; if that changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before. Your provider charges its own fees.
7. Your responsibilities
- Follow the Acceptable use policy.
- Check that your prices, tax settings, bills and receipts meet the rules where you trade, and keep the records your tax law requires.
- Tell guests accurately about your dishes, allergens and prices.
- Look after the devices and printers you use with Tillmora, and keep them on supported software.
8. Ask Tillmora
Ask Tillmora is an AI assistant that answers questions using your restaurant's data and Tillmora's manual. Its answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Check anything you rely on, especially anything used for tax, pay or legal matters, in Reports or the underlying records. It doesn't give legal, tax or employment advice, and it can't change anything in your account. We may limit how many questions an account asks, with notice, and pause it to protect the service. How it handles data is in the Privacy policy.
9. Availability and changes
Tills keep selling offline and send their changes when they're back online. Some things need the internet: online payments, guests' ordering pages, bookings, and connecting new devices. We work to keep Tillmora available, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or failures of providers we rely on.
We improve Tillmora continually. If we remove something you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
10. Suspending and ending
You can stop at any time; cancelling a subscription is in Settings › Subscription. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, puts others at risk, or isn't paid after the grace period, after telling you, except where the law or safety requires us to act at once. Before data is deleted at the end, you have the chance to download it; what happens to data after you leave is in the Privacy policy.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or your rights under consumer law that can't be excluded. Otherwise, as far as the law allows:
- Tillmora is provided as it is described, and we don't promise it suits every purpose of yours;
- we aren't liable for lost profits, revenue or goodwill, or for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee;
- our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us for Tillmora in those 12 months.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a change that affects you materially, we email the account owner at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using Tillmora before then.
13. Law and disputes
These terms follow the law of the place where Tillmora is registered, without taking away rights you have under the law where your business is based. Please tell us first about any problem so we can try to fix it.
