Dish photos

For owners and managers · updated 18 Oct 2026

A photo helps staff find a dish and sells it on the QR page and the kiosk. Without one, tills show the dish's name on its category colour.

Back office Menu (a dish) Photo Choose photo

  1. Open the dish.
  2. Under Photo, tap Choose photo (on a phone, Take photo or Choose from photos).
  3. Tillmora crops it square and resizes it for you.
  4. Tap Save. Tills download it on their next sync and keep it for offline use.

Example

Photographing the menu

Shoot each dish from above on a plain table by a window, at least 1000 pixels wide. JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone photos up to 10 MB all work.

Do photos slow the till down?

No. Tills keep a small copy for offline use, downloaded in the background.

If it goes wrong

"The photo didn't upload"

The dish is saved without it. Check the internet connection and tap Upload again. Tills keep showing the old photo until the new one arrives.

If it goes wrong

The camera or photos didn't open

Allow Tillmora to use the camera and photos in the phone's settings, then try again.
