Move, merge or join tables

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

Guests change tables, two tables become one party, or some dishes belong to another table. Prices stay the same and the kitchen gets a short note, not a new ticket.

Till Tables (hold a table) drag it onto another

  1. Hold a table and drag it onto another:
    • onto a free table: Move here (the party moves; the old table is free);
    • onto a busy table: Merge (one order) or Join (one bill; the tables show busy together).
  2. Or open the order and choose More for this order › Move or merge…:
    • Move the table;
    • Merge into another;
    • Move some dishes, then pick Which dishes.

Example

A party grows

Four guests at T4 are joined by three friends at T5. Drag T5 onto T4 and Join: one order and one bill, and T5 shows busy with them. Separate it any time.

Example

The wrong table

A waiter put a dessert on T7 that was meant for T8. Open T7 › Move or merge… › Move some dishes, tick the dessert, and choose T8.

Does the kitchen make it again?

No. The kitchen gets a short note about the move, not a new ticket.

If it goes wrong

Two tills opened the same table while offline

When they reconnect, the table shows two orders. Choose Merge into one order, Keep both (separate guests sharing the table), or Move one of them to its real table. Nothing is lost.
