Void a dish or cancel an order

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

Mistakes happen. A dish that's been sent can be voided with a reason; a whole order can be cancelled. Both are saved with who did it, who approved it, the reason and the time.

Till (an order) (a sent dish) Void

  1. Tap the sent dish and choose Void.
  2. Choose How many.
  3. Answer Was it made?: Not made yet · tell them to stop, or Already made · counted as wasted.
  4. Pick the reason. If your role can't void, a manager types their PIN.
  5. The station's printer gets a VOID ticket.

To cancel a whole order: More for this order › Cancel order…, then Cancel order. Each station with dishes in progress gets a CANCELLED ticket.

Example

The wrong curry

A waiter sent a Paneer Butter Masala instead of a Butter Chicken. Void the paneer: Not made yet · tell them to stop, reason "Wrong dish". The Tandoor gets a VOID ticket, then add the right curry and Send.

A dish in a meal deal is voided

The till asks: replace it and the deal stays, or Break the deal and the other dishes cost their own prices.

Do cancelled orders disappear?

No. They stay in the day's records as cancelled, with the reason and who approved it, and show in reports.

If it goes wrong

"Needs a reason; a manager's PIN if you can't void"

Your role isn't allowed to void. Ask a manager to type their PIN on the same screen.
