Card payments (Tyro)
Connect a card provider and card payments on the till fill themselves in: the amount goes to the terminal, and the approval, card and tip come back. The providers offered are the ones that serve your restaurant's country (Tyro in Australia; more are coming). Money goes straight to your provider account; Tillmora never holds it.
Back office Settings Payments and cash Card payments
- Tap Connect Tyro. Tyro opens in a new tab: sign in and choose which merchant IDs Tillmora may use.
- Back here, each merchant ID shows under Merchant IDs → branches. One branch: it's that one. Several: pick each one's branch.
- On each terminal: Settings › Operating mode › Integrated, then Pair with POS and choose Tillmora. It shows under Terminals.
- Tap Send a test payment: 1.00 goes to the terminal, and the answer shows here.
- From the terminal's menu: Rename… (what staff see, "Counter", "Bar") and Used by a till, whose payments go to it first, or a kiosk, whose guests then pay there by card (Pay here by card at the kiosk).
Example
Two branches, three terminals
Harbour Lane Café connects Tyro and picks two merchant IDs: 4102233 for Surry Hills and 4102271 for Circular Quay. Surry Hills' terminals show: Counter Tyro (used by the Counter till), Bar Tyro (the Bar till), Kiosk Tyro. Bar Tyro says Not answering · check its Wi-Fi or SIM until it's back online.
We're not with Tyro
Keep taking cards on your own terminal: staff tap Card on your terminal and type each one in, as now.
What does Disconnect do?
Tills stop sending payments to Tyro terminals; staff type card payments in by hand again. Payments already taken stay on their bills.
If it goes wrong
"Online: ask Tyro to switch on"
That merchant ID takes terminal payments but not online ones yet. Ask Tyro to switch on eCommerce for it.
