Drivers on their phones

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

A driver's own phone shows their run: the stops in order, directions, the amount to collect, and the door. Where they are is shared while a run is out, so the till's map and the guest see them.

Back office Devices Connect a screen Driver phone

  1. Open Tillmora on the driver's phone, scan its QR with yours, choose More… › Driver phone and name it after them. It doesn't count as a till. A driver can also sign in on a waiter phone.
  2. The driver signs in with their PIN. Anyone who can drive deliveries but not take orders sees their run instead of the floor.
  3. My run: the next stop in large type (unit, street, gate code, the guest's note), Collect cash with the change to bring, Navigate (Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze), Call, and I'm here, which tells the guest's page the driver is outside.
  4. At the door: how they paid (cash, card machine or the restaurant's QR with the amount), what they handed over and the change to give, a photo (needed when it's left at the door), the ID check for 18+ items, then Delivered. Or Couldn't deliver with why.
  5. Back at the store ends the run. When every stop is done and the phone comes back near the restaurant, the run ends by itself.
  6. My shift: stops, how many were on time, kilometres by road for the allowance, tips, and what to hand in at the till (the float plus the cash taken).

Example

Mia's run: A-0418 to Unit 3, 14 Wharf St, Cannington, $34 cash, change for $50. At the door Asha gives $50; Mia taps $50 and sees Give change $16.00, then Delivered. Back at the store, My shift says hand in $84.00: the $50 float and $34 cash.

When is the driver's location shared?

Only while one of their runs is out, every 15 seconds, with a notice on the phone. It stops when the run ends. Positions are kept 7 days for any dispute, then deleted.

What if the phone has no signal at the door?

Taps are kept and sent when it's back, like the till. A door photo waits on the phone and is added to the order when it can be sent.

If it goes wrong

"Location is off on this phone"

Turn on location in the phone's settings and allow it for Tillmora. The run still works without it; the restaurant just can't see the driver on the map.

Can drivers see what's in the bag and how the bill adds up?

Yes. Each stop has In the bag: tap it for the dishes with their quantities and prices, then the bill as the till issued it when it was sent: food, any offers, the delivery fee, tax and the total. They check the bag before leaving and can answer "why this much?" at the door. Stops already done show as cards with the time, on time or late and how it was paid, and My shift lists each run with its stops.

Does a driver open a shift or count a drawer?

No. A driver carries no drawer: the cash they collect is counted when they hand in at the till, on the till's own shift. A driver's phone shows no shift or drawer.

If it goes wrong

"… is a driver's phone"

Someone who doesn't drive signed in on a driver's phone. Tap Switch person. To take orders on that phone, a manager makes it a Waiter phone in the back office › Devices.
